We had the most wonderful stay at this charming cottage in Bakewell! The house itself was absolutely amazing, beautifully decorated, spacious, and with every detail thoughtfully considered. It felt like a true home away from home, offering both comfort and style in equal measure. What made the experience even better was the host. She was incredibly kind, welcoming, and went out of their way to ensure we had everything we needed. From providing local tips to checking in to make sure we were comfortable, their hospitality truly stood out. We can't recommend this place enough. We will definitely be back!
This beautiful holiday home is fantastically placed in bakewell so that it is a short walk from the many facilities this town has to offer. The house itself is sumptuously decorated. There is a huge living room which is a central hub for those staying. It sleeps 12 so great for gatherings! The kitchen seems to have everything you could want from a variety of coffee makers through to a melon baller! The free toiletries and sachets of tea coffee etc are a very nice touch. And then there is the garden set high up it is wonderful place to watch the world go by and the gardener does a wonderful job as it is in pristine condition. The court yard comfortably parks three cars. . A plus point as parking in bakewell is a bit of an issue. The games room gives an additional hang out place. ... All in all a fabulous place to stay!

The house didn't disappoint it was just as good as I remembered it. This time I slept in the master bedroom and the bed was huge!

A relaxing weekend once again in this beautiful house.
Left the review below last year. Have just returned to Victoria Cottage again this year and everything mentioned below still stands. Plus we did another glorious walk from the cottage to Monsal Head which was great.
Had a lovely relaxing weekend here. So nice that it's close to the centre of town so there no need for a car. The house is very well equipped. Perfect size for a party of 8. Beds were so comfortable. Very good value. Lots of interesting paintings and books in the house too. Highly recommend for a weekend away with friends or a week holiday with two families.
